Arnold Schwarzenegger For President

Mr Schwarzenegger For President: If all US Governors were eligible to run for President, Arnold could be a candidate in 2008.

Although many polls suggest that Mr Schwarzenegger would be a viable candidate for the US Presidency in 2008, there is one small hitch: The US Constitution. At the present time, only a natural born American citizen can run for the highest office in the land. However, there is also a simple solution. In order to eliminate this roadblock to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue it is not necessary to amend the Constitution to allow all foreign-born US citizens to seek the Presidency.

Instead, why not allow all US Governors the right to run for President? After all, if you are qualified to govern an individual state, why shouldn't you be qualified to govern all 50 states? Does Mr Schwarzenegger, a duly elected US Governor of the most populated state in America really need more than that to qualify as a Presidential candidate?
