The Hollywood movies are known all over the globe for their technical brilliance. The technology and the special effects (flash  3D animationen) upon which the movie 'Terminator' was based were indeed fantabulous. Then there was Arnold Schwarzenegger who seemed to be even more assured and comfortable in the second part having got a chance to reprise a role which was even perfectly suited to that of the physique and voice that has been successful in establishing him as a person who seemed larger than life. The Terminator 2: The Judgement Day is even regarded as a landmark film in the history of special effects (video streaming) films. The future machines in the second instalment and the indestructible metal man clearly bears testimony to all the enchanting special effects that made the movie an instant hit with the audience. The new evil robot was even more technologically advanced than the earlier ones.
 
The intense development of human characters in the movie comes along when Arnold's mother was put into the mental institution due to her prediction that one day the robots would destroy the world. But when after two robots show up Arnold realised that his mother's predictions were actually true. The fast paced fighting and the explosions make Terminator truly an engrossing entertainer. Without the knowledge of emotions or good or bad a movie can never expect to capture the heart of the audience. It is in this regard that the movie was successful in captivating the people and not just be a mere scientific action thriller.
 
The Terminator was also the pioneer in being the most appealing film in the domain of computer imagery. However it was not the first film to use computer related video effects but it was a film which has used computer graphics to such an extent that people was literally stunned by the effect of such techniques. The augmentation of such techniques was nowhere to be seen earlier and the world paid high regards to such technological advancements in the world of entertainment. The production techniques and the special effects can truly be identified as the assets of the movie which went on to make it a blockbuster hit.
